Strength - Hot Vinyasa Yoga

Detoxification at its best. Feel the heat, whilst embracing this dynamic yoga practise.

Hot Vinyasa Yoga is a sequence of postures taught in a flow by linking movement and breath in a heated room. Vinyasa is the Sanskrit word for ‘connection’ so let yourself flow and find a connection between movement and breath. With breath, let your mind settle and disconnect from the busy distractions of life. Classes can be physically challenging so members so flow at your own pace.

Why is it good for me?

A heated environment increases your pulse rate and metabolism and allows your blood vessels to become more flexible. That makes circulation easier and increases blood flow to the limbs. Sweating promotes detoxification and elimination through your skin, which is the bodies largest eliminating organ. The heat produces a fluid-like stretch allowing for greater range of movement in joints, muscles, ligaments and other supporting structures of the body.

What will I do?

The breath becomes is an important component of Vinyasa because your teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. You will focus the mind on the breath to settle the mind.

What should I bring?

All you need is comfortable workout clothes and something warm to wear during relaxation. Yoga mats are optional, we have them for you or you may choose to bring your own. We do ask that you cover our mats in a towel. Always hydrate before, during and after your practice. Wear less clothing than you normally would for other kinds of yoga. We would suggest pregnant women speak to their doctor first before joining a heated yoga class.
