Cue the curtains! And we're back for the 2nd time round with more variety to offer. Let's groove and workout your moves in our Annual August Event DANCE BLOWOUT. Come join us for a 4Hr NON-STOP fitness DANCE BLOWOUT combining 7 different fitness dance disciplines such as Piloxing, Piloxing KnockOut, Pulse, Pound, Poppilates, Zumba and STRONG by Zumba!!!

Tour De Active - Return of Stamp Cards

A massive thank you to everyone who participated in our Tour de Active Qualifying Race over the weekend. Love your energy and commitment, always so infectious!! Thank You.

After the Qualifying Race on 23Jul, members will have to return their stamp cards to their respective home clubs for tabulation of results. Results will be announced on 4th August.

The TOP 3 Winners of each club with the most # of PARTICIPATION stamps will walk away with prizes. They will then race against each other in the Final Race on 12th August for the GRAND Prize!

So remember to return your stamp cards latest by Wednesday 26th July. After that, return of stamp card will be rejected. Thank you.

Step It up with Les Mills Bodystep!

Bodystep is an energizing full body cardio workout for all, newcomers to fitness veterans. It improves coordination and agility while toning and shaping your butt, legs and increase your cardio fitness exponentially.

Walking up and down the stairs, in combination with burpees, push ups and the use of a weight plate to work the upper body. There's always options to get you through the workout safely.

a few of our showerheads got damaged during our shower refurbishment. The good news is we have ordered more, and of the best quality too. The not so good news is that they are coming from Europe and will take a little while to arrive.

Member Feedback

I joined Virgin Active hoping to improve my health and fitness after a bout with dengue fever. After slow progress working out on my own, I reconnected with my trainer Timothy as he was my first point of contact when I first enrolled.

Starting in September 2016, I have lost about 5kg and dropped 6% of body fat, increased both my muscle tone and fitness score which was from 60 to 80 points.

It was a grueling journey but one that has paid off. I feel fitter now, have much more energy and many have commented on my weight loss. I have not felt this good in such a long time!

I have not hit my goal yet and I will continue to work towards it. After hitting a plateau, Timothy changed things up for me. It gets tougher but I know that this is what will take for me to get to where I want to be.

I would not be able to achieve all this without Timothy's guidance. He regularly checks up on me and my diet, giving me alternative food choices. He recommends classes to complement my PT sessions and constantly changes things up so I can continue to make progress.

The best part of it all is that he believes in me and motivate me to achieve things I never thought I could so.

It's really important to feel comfortable with my trainer and I definitely feel so with Timothy.
I', really glad he was recommended to me.

Shower accessories

We have been working with Pan Puri in the re-design of new shower soap dispensers and we are pleased to say we have a new dispenser designed just for you!

The manufacturing process has taken longer than originally planned however, as soon as the new dispensers arrive, they will be replacing the current ones.

Power up with BCAAs

What are BCAAs?
Branched-chain Amino Acids comprise of 3 amino acids: Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine.

These are found in protein food such as eggs, meat and even soy, taken in most commonly after workouts to repair muscle tissue.

How will it help me?
After a hard workout on the gym floor doing a Grid or Pump class, your muscles are starving. They have been working hard and are screaming for recovery and a rebuild. That's where BCAAs come in.

Taking in BCAA's slow muscle breakdown. It's free-form and doesn't require digestion and is easily absorbed into the bloodstream.

BCAAs can also be used as a quick energy booster to power your workouts. There are scientific explanations as to how they can be converted into glucose for ready use but we won't bore you with the details.
