Club Operations Project Manager

The Position:

The Gig:

Working under the direction of the Head of Operations & Best Practice, this role is responsible for project managing and facilitating the operation of Virgin Active South East Asia clubs to achieve business goals and targets.

From launching new clubs to supporting and creating Normal Operating Procedures you will be across all things operations. You will be working ever so closely with key stakeholders to ensure a timely execution of projects, assisting with the design and layout of new clubs, creating red hot processes and building key relationships with suppliers.

About You:

New Clubs:

  • Develop in-depth project management plans to track progress of new club launches across South East Asia.
  • Project manage the operational launch of new clubs in South East Asia.
  • Work closely with the Construction and Project teams to give input into club design, layout and equipment needs.
  • Provide input and operational advice for new club plans to ensure operational requirements and cost efficiency.
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks
  • Develop forms and record documents for club launch
  • Monitor the progress of a club launch and advise all stakeholders of any adjustments where necessary
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders/suppliers
  • Direct and supervise the opening of new clubs including staffing, equipment, licenses, branding etc.

Existing Clubs:

  • Actively stay up to date with innovative new club designs and technology
  • Conduct market research on new fitness product and innovations globally.
  • Manage and coordinate projects under the instruction of management
  • Support the development, implementation and management of club operational processes.
  • Conduct training to Club General Managers and HOD’s on operational processes and procedures when required
  • Support clubs to maintain fitness and operational equipment in line with Brand Standards and industry advancements
  • Manage the process and allocation of Staff uniform, Member Gear and consumables.
  • Manage and coordinate warehousing, logistics and inventory for the South East Asia region.

About You:

  • Minimum 3 Years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in managing multimillion dollar projects within budget and set time frames
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to influence decisions and coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Influencing capability to lead and manage change
  • Excellent communication (in-person and written)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience
